Kid's Today

What ever happened to the good old days when young people just had good old fashioned pre-marital sex. Well those days are gone. And I bet Genarlow Wilson of Georgia wishes he could turn back the hands of time and just have some conventional sex between two consenting minors. Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen. Instead, Wilson has already served 27 months behind bars and is facing up to 10 years in prison because someone videotaped a 15 year old girl performing oral sex on him. Wilson was a star athlete, an honors student and was preparing to go to college when things went awry at a New Year's Eve party in 2003. Apparently, Georgia has some ridiculous law that has since been revised, whereby oral sex between teens constituted aggravated child molestation. So my main question is this. If that law was upheld , why was Wilson the one who got charged with a crime. The videotape shows a girl performing oral sex on him. Why wasn't she charged. Why isn't she in prison. Now I'm not saying that she should be. What mama is saying is that what's good for the gander is good for the goose. He could not have been the lucky recipient of the oral sex if it were not for the girl performing the act in question. If the law was truly designed to protect innocent children then it isn't doing it's job very well. Now is it? Clearly she is not innocent here. Even the sponsor of the bill, former Republican State Representative Matt Towery never intended for the law to be interpreted in this way. Now back to the good old fashioned conventional sex. If these two love birds were just plain "doing it" on tape, then neither one would be in trouble. Thanks to Georgia's Romeo and Juliet exception. Hopefully all of the sexually active teens in Georgia will just stick to the straight sex so they don't get in trouble. Let's see how many unwanted pregnancies occur or how many of these young star crossed lovers end up with some sexually transmitted disease. Don't get me wrong. Mama is as right wing as they come. I'd prefer these kids don't even kiss until they're married. But I'm trying to be reasonable. In 2006, Georgia changed the law so that oral sex between consenting minors is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison. I just don't get it. How could that be a crime. Kids will be kids. At least it's between kids and not some sick old pervert preying on an innocent young girl. The law is outdated (even after the revision) and it should be taken off the books to make room for a law that will actually protect innocent children, not 15 year old tramps that get involved in underage drinking and wild sex.

Courage Has New Meaning

I was listening to the radio on my way to work this morning and heard an excerpt of an interview with Paris Hilton. She was a surprise guest at the MTV Movie Awards and worked her way around the red carpet. I don't know the name of the idiot who was interviewing her but she had the unmitigated gall to tell Paris Hilton that she was so courageous to come to the awards. I don't know about you, but courageous is not one of the words that enters my mind when an attention seeking slut bag shows up at an awards show full of other attention seeking slut bags. I am apparently misguided. According to Dictionary.com the definition of courage is "the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain etc. without fear; bravery". It seems to me that this word would best describe a policeman or fireman or soldier who face danger in the true sense of the word everyday. And they don't get their picture plastered all over every news site, magazine or tabloid. And they don't make millions doing their job. These are the people who are courageous. Not some no talent, big sunglass wearing tramp. And the same goes for these left wing Hollywood types who think that it's courageous for a straight man to play a homosexual in a major motion picture. Well NEWS FLASH! It has nothing to do with courage. You don't have to be brave to work for a few months and collect five million dollars. You don't even need to have any talent. Apparently you just have to be in the right place at the right time and all of a sudden you are some terrific actor who takes on these "courageous" roles because he truly loves his craft. Bull Crap. They love the money and that takes no courage at all. Not only is Mama not happy, she's starting to get pissed.

Supervise the Sicko

Now Mama really ain't happy. Why do people (and by people I mean the liberals) think that it's more important to protect the feelings and the rights of criminals and completely disregard the well being of the population at large. U.S. District Judge Paul L. Friedman has decided to ease the restrictions and give more flexibility to the doctors caring for John Hinckley. Here is a guy who tried to kill the President of the United States of America. If he was successful, not only would the United States have lost one of the greatest presidents this country has ever seen, but it would have caused a ripple effect throughout the nation that could have potentially been crippling. Now I am not completely without compassion for the legally insane. I may not completely agree that just because someone is declared not guilty by reason of insanity, that they should not be punished the same way a common criminal is. I think that being confined to a mental institution for the rest of their lives is not out of the question. Why on earth would we consider ever giving this wacko the freedom to live among innocent people. Why is it more important to this judge that John Hinckley learn how to integrate back into society than to protect people from this nut job. The judge wants to give him more unsupervised visits with his family. This man tried to kill the leader of the free world. Why should he ever be unsupervised even for a second. He should never be allowed to mingle among innocent people again. And while I feel sad that there are people, who possibly through no fault of their own, are insane. But I feel worse for the innocent people who lose their lives or the lives of their loved ones because some sicko is on the loose. The left wingers need to stop focusing on the rights and feelings of the few and start to protect the masses.

What is wrong with people?

Here we go again. Caring about the feelings of criminals more than the victims. Attorneys for Jeffrey Lundgren of Ohio wanted to join a lawsuit that challenges Ohio's use of the death penalty as cruel and unusual punishment. His lawyers claim that lethal injection would be more painful for him since he is a diabetic and overweight at 275 lbs. Are they f@#$*&# kidding me. He murdered a family of five execution style because he thought their faith in his cult was lacking. He invited these people to his home under the false pretense of enjoying a meal together and then took them one by one out to the barn and shot them. And we are supposed to give a shit that he may feel a little bit of pain when his pathetic excuse for a life is finally over. How about the pain the little seven year old girl was feeling when he led her to the barn and bound her then shot her to death. This sick bastard should know pain every day for the rest of his pathetic life.

These left wing whack jobs care more about him than they do about the poor family who died and the poor innocent victims who are left behind to deal with the tragic loss of their family. I will tell you right now - mama ain't happy. And we all know what happens when mama ain't happy.

Why, Why, Why ?

I went to the mall the other day to buy something to wear for an upcoming party. My husband and I decided to get some lunch at the food court before I went on my hunt for an outfit. Just as I'm preparing to take my first bite of my slice of cheese pizza, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Curiosity got the best of me and I made a decision that I regret to this day. I turned around to look. And I got an eyeful. I saw a young girl wearing what for some reason has become a fashion statement. Jeans that were so low it's amazing that they didn't just fall off. And if that weren't bad enough, she decided to accessorize these horrific jeans with a huge roll of fat hanging over the waist band. I assume this may be what actually kept the jeans from dropping to the ground. But wait! There's more. She was wearing a belly shirt and of course a hideous tatoo poking it's ugly head out from the bottom of the shirt that must have shrunk in the wash. I saw her walking toward her table of friends and I knew the worst was yet to come. She set her tray down, made a feeble attempt to lift her pants up over the fat roll (but to no avail) and then she proceeded to sit down. I know I should have looked away but it was like a car accident. You don't want to look but something compels you. And you can't look away even if you tried. The pants never had a chance. They wanted to stay put, but the fat roll won. The pants rolled down to reveal a vile picture. A young girl who could very easily grow up to be a plumber. She was already part of the way there with her fat ass hanging out. I wanted to throw up. And I was really pissed off. Why do I have to be subjected to this disgusting sight. Why don't people give a damn when they leave the house. And her friends should have really intervened. Or better yet, her parents. Where were they when she left the house. I know I'm not a teenager anymore, but this has got to stop. These kids look like prostitutes and their parents don't seem to care. After I voiced my very strong opinion to my husband, I was tempted to go over to her, tap her on the shoulder and say something. My husband's worldly advice to her would have been "Just say no to crack."

Put your kids first!

Why is it that parents seem to be more selfish now than ever. If you have kids, why wouldn't you want to give them every opportunity to thrive? I was driving home from work the other day and I stopped at a red light. I had the unbelievable misfortune of stopping next to a woman with a man in the passenger seat. Perhaps it was her husband but more than likely, just a boyfriend. She had two kids in the backseat. So far, nothing seems out of place. She proceeds, along with her passenger, to light up a cigarette. Meanwhile, all of the car windows are rolled up.

I was in the car with my mom and I wanted to put my car in park, get out and go over to this moron's car and grab her by the neck and knock some sense into her. My mom tried to explain to me that not everyone is that smart. You have to seriously be dead not to know that smoking in the car with the windows rolled up is not good for your kid. Not to mention the person smoking. How could a person be so selfish? Especially a mother. To put her own selfish desire to smoke before the health and well being of her kid is something I will never be able to understand. Children don't ask to be brought into this world. Once they get here, they deserve every opportunity to thrive physically and emotionally.

If parents would just put their kids first, the world would be in much better shape than it is today. If parents would just put their kids first, we might not be caught in the middle of the downfall of society.
